Before I tell you about my card, I want to give a shout out to my son, Russell for creating the digitized copy of my signature featured at the end of this blog. He’s away at college now (a freshman) but made time out to make this for his (often times computer illiterate) mother. FTL…..THANK YOU, SWEET BOY! Now on to my card….
Stampin’Up!’s Sheltering Tree is one of my favorite stamp sets of all time. I have had this stamp set for years now and I have used it for practically every occasion! Check out how great it can be on a Valentine’s Day card…..
I added hearts from the Heart Happiness stamp set….but here is a trick; because I wanted to place a single heart in specific spots on the tree, I actually cut my clear stamp to get a single heart instead of a grouping of hearts. DO NOT BE AFRAID of cutting up your stamps! If you are VERY CAREFUL to cut just so, you can preserve your original image when you put it back together.
See what I mean??….
Here is a close up….
Hope you like this project and that you can spend some time today to make something special for the special people in your life.
See you tomorrow for one last project for Valentine’s Day! Until then, spread a little kindness!
