Ellen Hutson’s Mondo Magnolia is….

…Mondo AMAZING!!!  Check out the beautiful magnolia image in this set and the great sentiments from Ellen Hutson’s  Mondo Magnolia stamp set…AMAZING is right!

 

I created this background using my alcohol reinkers. See the how-to video by the brilliant Julie Ebersole from Ellen Hutson here...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdTy-ggRzyY . I love this technique so much! You can make a bunch of them and no two will be the same.

Here is what it looks like up close…

 

 

You can’t really see it here, but there is actually a “texture” created by the inks and alcohol. It’s a stunning effect.

Once my background was dry, all I had to do was stamp my image on to it, add my stripped washi tape and  then trim and paste it on my card base.  Voila!  I used Stazon Jet Black Ink to stamp my images because the paper that I used for the background has a coated finish and I wasn’t sure if my regular in would stick.

Hope you try this technique. Caution…it may get a little messy, you may want to wear gloves to keep your fingers from turning rainbow colors! lol
