Hello all! I find making cards for the special men in my life a bit of a challenge. I always seem to gravitate to florals or my sequins when I make cards. Both of which don’t go well with more masculine cards. When designing my hubby’s Father’s Day Card, I looked to Bear Hugs stamp set from Stampin’Up! Is this little guy adorable or not?
Here is another masculine card i made a few months ago using the Papa Bear from the set. the scene was done in watercolor.
Challenge yourself and make a few masculine cards to keep in your stash for the special guys in your life!
That’s all for now. Hope you have a great day!
…hostess stamp set!! Okay…confession time….I am OUT of birthday cards and have been slacking on making any more. So yesterday I hunkered down to make a small stack. Here is a super easy card I came up with…
I didn’t have any striped paper that fit the look I was going for so I made my own. I made the stripes using the back of one of my photopolymer stamps! Just find a stamp that is the right shape and size, ink up the back with whatever color you want, and voila..custom stripes!! Cool, right? It is a great way to stretch your stamps. My stripes are second generation stamped. That means that I “stamped off” the stripe on scratch paper before I stamped it “for realz”. I got a lighter image that fit more with my design that way. As you can see by this close-up, the stripes are not “perfect” but they were the look I was going for.
The background was made stamping balloons from the Balloon Celebration stamp set with Craft White Ink on our new Dapper Denim In-Color cardstock.
Thank you for stopping by…see you again soon!!
CASEed (Copy And Share Everything) the card on the right from the new Stampin’Up catalog. I mean…seriously, why not learn from the pros, riiiight?????….
Now here is my version…..
I just love this little cutie! Same layout, just used watercolor and some magical gold thread! lol. Everything is better with gold, right?
….living at my house!! HUZAAAAH!!! I just couldn’t get into this set quick enough. Since we are supposed to make SHAKER CARDS for next month’s SU club meeting, I, of course, had to make this into a shaker. Est voila….
She is adorable, no? I had to do some stamp surgery on the sentiment, but fear not…it’ll live to fight another day. Don’t be afraid to do some cutting on your stamps to make the sentiment fit your design. This card was done in my favorite coloring medium, WATERCOLOR! All inks are from Stampin’Up!
Here is a close-up of all the shimmy-shimmy that is on this card. It’s hard to capture it on camera, but you get the idea.
…and call him JACQUES!! lol I am in love with this little frog from the Stampin’Up! Lots of Love hostess stamp set. Soooooo cute!
Can’t get too much easier than this card.
Here I used the new cardstock colors from Stampin’Up! new In-Color Collection. The leaves were made with the Botanical Builder Framelits and the sentiment is from Stampin’Up’s Sheltering Tree stamp set.
These hedgehogs are so sweet, no?? Also, from the Lots of Love set. I fussy cut them and added dimensionals so make them pop. The Heart was made using the new Sweet & Sassy Framelits, the sentiment is from the Time of Year Hostess Set.
This is the first stamp set I bought from the new catalog pre-order. I have already used my friend the frog on multiple cards already; one is posted earlier on this blog. And btw, his name is Jaques. Hello handome!!
Seriously, how can I resist these little cuties? I can’t wait until they arrive and are living in my house!
A little exotic, a little graphic, a LOT of design possibilites! Perfect for more masculine cards (uuuuummm..hello, FATHER’S DAY). Beautiful!
BEHOLD…the PERFECT sentiment stamp set. The fonts, the cute images, the versitality all make me want to swoon!
“Best Birds” indeed! BRAVO to Stampin’Up design artists for the beautiful images in this set. Can we say. “THUD”!
Well, that is it for now, friends! Stay tuned for projects made with these gorgeous stamp sets. Hurry UPS, HURRY!!!!
This uber cute frog is from the new hostess set from the Stampin’Up 2016-2017 Catalog. I mean…HELLO…adorbs, right?
